Beginning my journey of discovering what it means to be a woman of tenderness, strength, and true beauty.

I love: Jesus Christ, writing, weddings, wildflowers, good books, photography, hot tea, the mountains, traveling, women's ministry, folk music, my beautiful friends, Greek culture/food, film, design, forgiveness, Germany, Music City, flying, cowboy boots, poetry, kiddos, old black and white movies with my mom, Westerns, Boston, true beauty, adventure, old-fashioned letters, figure skating, hearing people's stories, live music, talking in a British accent, sunflowers, Bon Iver, riding bicycles, going barefoot, painting, wrap-around porches, anything vintage, nature, the rope-swing, Estes Park, playing golf, boats, fishing, Europe, airports, line-dancing, coffee shops, hiking, Barnes & Noble, horseback riding, road trips, poetry, Wind River Ranch, alone time, the Grand Ole Opry, Seaside, big floppy beach hats, making music videos, my train-conducter overalls, Christmas time, my mom's home-made stationary, going to the ballet, banjos, mud football, the zoo, peach tea, sunsets, pimento cheese, Homestead Manor Plantation, flannel, autumn, sundresses, suspenders, bluegrass festivals, Anthropologie, having my hair played with, Red Bull and beef jerky, holding hands, chocolate covered strawberries, mission trips, 5 year old jokes, claw-footed bathtubs, bed n' breakfasts, fireplaces, fireflies, finding beauty in the world, finding beauty in people, laughter, life.

"Never settle."

  1. I came across your website by mistake... or maybe it was a blessing in diguise. You have touched me in a way I have not felt touched in a while. I have been under a lot of pressure and stress lately. As an 18 year old girl not knowing what to do with her overly complicated life, expected to know what she is going to do for the rest of her life in the next couple of months; I am terrified. But sittig here, and reading and just listening made me feel calm. It had that simple feeling of safty and truthfulness behind it. You didn't know I excisted, and I have never known about you either until this moment. You are a stranger who has made me smile, a smile that is a genuine as the girl who made this. Thank you.

  2. I came across your blog a few days ago and I have been deeply touched reading your personal stories, reflections on life and poems. You have an incredible soul and a captivating way of expressing yourself. It looks like you haven't written anything in over a year. Be encouraged to know God has given you a gift. Each day I read one of your posts like a morning cup of coffee to start my day...and I always hear the gentle wisdom of the Holy Spirit speak to me through them. I could make so many comments on all your posts--they are each so good in their own way. Just know you have great wealth of mind and heart to offer this world. God bless you.
